What's up with remote access? Anything?

Hi All,

 

Since I've upgraded to iOS9.0 I've noticed I cannot get any remote access at all on my phone through to my HC2.

 

Not only that but every time I access home.fibaro.com it finds my account but continually says my box is 'offline'.....which it isn't!

 

Any help appreciated as remote access is rather important to me!

I have the same issue as you have. My solutions was to have a VPN server home. So now I switch vpn on my iphone and that always work with the fibaro app. Then I dont have to relie on the remote acces of fibaro.

I’m on IOS9 and remote access works, but not all the time. VPN access is much faster and almost 100% reliable, not mentioning comfortable administration over the browser from remote (home.fibaro.com is extremely slow to do anything with HC remotely).

What vpn server are you guys running? Im no network guru so what is the easiest solution?

My setup is following - home NAS QNAP T110 (using it as a media server with all media stored in it). It has a VPN build in, you just need to set it up (it’s easy for non IT guy as well with a little of googling). Its running 24/7 for more than  years and can provide also other useful features (download station, surveillance station, DLNA server, time machine…)

Thx for replies. So do we actually know what the issue is?? Never used to have problems (not that I recall anyway). I did go from ios7 to ios9 so not sure if that has anything to do with it?

 

Anyhow....I was looking to get a QNAP for my Mobotix T25....do they all have VPN built in? Was looking at DS215J

Hi All,

 

Just thought I would update you. A reboot fixed the problem. Unsure what problem was....maybe Fibaro did some maintenance at some stage and it needed to reconnect. Either way, working again now thank god.
