FGK101 inclusion problem/Battery Change

I have 2 FGK101 sensors and they were both reporting low battery. So I replaced the battery but HC2 is just not registering this. I have tried to delete the sensors but it fails to even notice that I am trying to delete this. What is the best way for me to do this? is there a best guide on how to change the battery and get the HC2 to recognise that this has happened?? It seems that HC2 is not reading any signals from the sensors.

Check out the user manual of FGK10x modules. The 'reset' steps may be easy to accidentally triggered while changing battery and cause problem. If my recollection is right, try not to replace battery with the sensor and magnetic piece in closed-state. Once battery replaced, need to manual wake it up to allow HC2 to re-poll the battery status, in some instances (cannot recall if it was specific to some HC2 firmware versions or not), may need to wait awhile before the battery status is correctly updated.

 

I know it is vivid description of the steps but with each HC2 firmware, the behaviour differs and hence I have mixture of methods to get the battery status working correctly. I may have one soon due to replace as the battery is showing less than 50% bar icon. Usually with this, the battery will sudden die out on me with a few Fibaro devices in recent weeks. Have not receive weak battery alert since HC2 4.05x firmwares.

Unfortunately, I have managed to delete the device from my HC2 by clicking on the X on the device... now I can't add it back in.. perhaps, will try and reset the EPROM and see it that works..

 

It is disappointing that it didn't tell me that the battery was low until it died.. and ironically, once it died, it told me that it is dead but the Blue LED on the sensor kept constantly flashing.. why use that remaining battery life on that when it could have been used for keep the device alive..
