Alarm System

HI All, A month ago i purchased a HCL and am slowly adding components, just added the vision siren and am having an issue, the only way i seem to be able to add it to the system and for it to work is by configuring as a lighting device, the problem with this is that if i turn all lights on the siren starts. Any help would be appreciated.

You can add the siren to a Scene. and then add that scene to the Alarm system as action.

Cant you change the "Controlled Device:" type in advanced tab of device settings? Stevenvd, using a scene wont solve the issue of all on/off lightning issue I think.

Correct, so you should not set the device as a lighting device

Thamks for your replies, i have tried changing device type to something different on advanced settings but in alarm panel there is no option to activate devices other than lighting for a alarm event. i cant believe there is no option to activate a siren which is a main part of an alarm system. I could create a scene but this defeats the object of having a so called advanced alarm panel.

You can just use the alarm panel. But just activate the siren through a scene. The scene is activated from the advanced alarm panel.
