Secondary controller to HC2

Question

Posted

I remember reading somewhere that HCL can not be used as a secondary controller to HC2.

Is this correct ?

If so, would another HC2 be good as a secondary controller to a HC2?

Can someone please explain how this actually works? Will all devices and vd's and scenes be on one HC2 while the other will just work as a signal booster?

Can they work like a backup to each other ? In case one goes down the other one picks up the load ?

Sorry for the broad questions but I have no ideea how this works.

Regards

    Okay,

Then have a look at www.Adko.de and search for item 1274 (antenna) and item 7168 (cable)

    This should work

    WOW!

Hi Paolino I was wondering if you had any succes with the 2 HC-2?

I would like to use 2 HC'2 in sort of a cluster (or primary and secondary controller) setup.

I'm having 2 HC-2's in my network over here.

They work in a 'Master - Slave' configuration (the only way Fibaro supports).

But at the end it's just a range extender. I have all devices on the Slave HC-2 imported in my Master HC-2 and that's where all scene's, VD's are running.

You can import all devices of the Master into the Slave but it's still not a backup of the Master. When the Master fails the Slave can't do anything more then

controlling the devices assigned to the Slave.

I have to cover about 200 meters distance over here that's why I used the second HC-2; and both equipped whit a bigger antenna (like earlier mentioned in this topic).

These 2 'huge' antenna's are placed under the roofs of my house and my garage.
