Hi

It should work if you: Puts in learning mode, and 3 clicks quickly the B button.

I have the same problem. Switched from Zipabox, where I was able to include, but now no reaction in HC2. I use the B-button, pressing it three times, at different speeds, many times. No reaction:-(

Did you exclude it before you shut down your previous controller? Do you have the manual?

No, I did not exclude it on the Zipabox, but I thought the purpose of the excluding/deleting a device on a new box before including it was to avoid having to bother excluding from an old network?

I have the manual, yes.

If your device is included on network A, and you want it on network B, it has to be excluded from network A before you can include it on B. It does not matter if you exclude it by using controller A or B. Any controller can exclude any device. If network A doesn't exist anymore, that's no problem. Just put your HC2 (controller B) in exclusion mode, then triple click the B-button, the HC2 should exclude it. If that doesn't work, you can try with a push button connected to S1. Please make sure you don't click 4 times, that cancels the process on some devices. If your relay is set to toggle switches, perform 3 position changes (with a push button connected to a relay in that mode: push, release, push and hold a few seconds). If that doesn't help, you can try the reset procedure, it's described in the manual. It can take e few attempts to get the timing right. I prefer the "exclusion method", but doing a reset has the same effect. Good luck!

Dear Peter,

thank you for a thorough reply! Unfortunately nothing of it helps for the inclusion of these devices. I tried a new one out of the box, and that was successful. But the three devices already used, no reaction. Before taking the Zipabox away, I just tried if they still reacted to commands, and they did, so it seems there is nothing wrong with their radios (which would be strange anyway on all three devices).

What now?

It's been a while since I had to reset one of these... But have you tried this (assuming it's a FGS-221)? Power off the device, press and hold the B-Button, power up the device and keep holding that button for a bit longer than 3 seconds. Release the button, power off, power on. That should reset it and make it available for inclusion. It's in the manual, but I rephrased it a little bit. Please try it a few times, let me know how it goes. I would try it for you, but unfortunately I can't do that right now.

Dear Peter, that was it! I have tried resetting many times, but it has somehow evaded me that I should power it down and up in the way you described.

Thank you very much, also for offering to do it for me:-)

All the best, Øystein
