Question

Hi All,

Recently got myself a number of Samsung IP cameras, two models I went for are:

SNO-8081R Bullet Camera
SNV-8081R Dome Camera

Very pleased with their performance, and made sure they can supply MJPG over HTTP too for use with HC2.  I used iSpy to find the URLs and it came back with:

Please login or register to see this code.

This works in a browser, and if I omit the user:password@ section, the browser prompts for credentials, but works all the same.   The trouble I'm having is how to format this URL for the MJPG path in the device settings :/  No matter how I chop it up and play around with them, including appending '&usr=user&pwd=password' instead of prefixing it etc, nothing seems to work.

Can anyone tell me how to properly format this URL for HC2?

Hi, you have probably found the solution, but I just changed the port and it worked:-)
Used the string on Samsung SNO6083L.

    Hi McGreggor,

I just added a new camera model "Other model"
user and pass of the camera
IP adress and port 10.0.0.1:8084 or something like that

    JPG path: /cgi-bin/video.cgi?msubmenu=jpg

    MJPG path: /cgi-bin/video.cgi?msubmenu=mjpg

Works for me and hope this helps

Thanks for the info, but unfortunately still no luck.  I've also tried every combination of profile on the camera too, even reducing it to 2Megapixel mode but still noting.

I'm now wondering if this is something to do with authentication, I've read on another post that Fibaro HC2 doesn't support digest authentication over HTTP, but only basic authentication

Can somebody please confirm the syntax?

IP Address (including port if needed): colon between IP address and port number, but what about the paths?
Is it the full path, e.g.

    /live/0/mjpeg.jpg
or just the part after the port number? e.g. /live/0/mjpeg.jpg ...

or without the leading "/" e.g. live/0/mjpeg.jpg as indicated by Fibaro UK tutorial

or as some have indicated elsewhere on the forum just the last file name, e.g.

I've switched the camera to Basic authentication and tried all of these but getting nothing showing up at all in HC2 where I expected the images to be previewed
