Remotec ZXT-120 temperature with HC2

Hi,

 

I have an HC2 running 4.070, and a Remotec ZXT-120 V1.6H running on batteries.

 

I am new to HC2 and just trying to learn about it.

 

I can add the Remotec OK, and it installs four devices, including a temperature monitor.

 

My current problem is that it receives a temperature reading when I add the Remotec to HC2, but never receives a temperature update.  It has been like this with the last couple of HC2 firmware versions, so it isn't related to the most recent firmware.

 

If I do a soft reconfigure, or uninstall and reinstall it, I get a new temperature, but it still refuses to ever update the temperature after that.

 

I'd appreciate some ideas on what I do to get this actively monitoring temperature.  No use in exploring other functionality until I can at least get it monitoring temperature.

Rather unsatisfactory really in terms of usability but at least it is working 'properly', or at least consistent with what appears to be a rather unintelligent configuration decision by the manufacturer.

 

Since I am still just trying to get it set up (and learn about HC2) I'll run it on 5V so I can at least understand how it is behaving and get it operating as an AC controller.

As an AC controller, it is working rather well so far and mine is on battery-powered. Temperature is based on other device in the setup I have. The temperature sensing of this ZXT-120 is rather useless.
