Question

Posted

Hi,

As far as I know the mobile app of Fibaro on Android smartphones uses one sound only for all kind of notifications.

At this moment I don't know if I receive a (not that important) message or that my house is starting to burn down.

I would like to have the option to give motion and smoke detection a different sound.

If possible a choice of sounds for different kinds of notifications.

Anyone have a working solution?

I have a HC2 therefore LUA won't  be a problem.

I use Pushover for it. You can set different sounds.

    Thx Cafun.

I already have seen this solution too, but I find it strange that cheaper controllers have there own ways of doing this.

Controllers like the HomeWizard (no z-wave) and the Vera controller (too slow) are able to use mulpile notification sounds.

I considered to move the motion and alarm devices back on my old Vera Edge controller as I don't use these (yet) to control any other device or scene.

First I think of giving Pushover a try.

I agree with you, but the only way to get it to work with the HC2 is with Pushover.

You can use separate Telegram Bots. There you can change sounds/vibrations/pop-ups etc.

I've already started Telegram Bots and it's a nice way to do things. And it's free. We Dutch like that part

And I find the notifications on the PC ( plugin for firefox ) is very useful too!

    Cheers,

I share you're feelings about the typical Dutch approach.....

You can also take a look for the standalone software. I'm using it on Linux. Works like a charm!
