Get device state through Rest API

Question

Posted

Is there a way to get the Device State through the Rest API aside from the Json? I can turnOn/Off my device, but there seems no way to find out the state. The Device Type is sensor, so "value" doesnt do the trick. The sample json below is from the device turned off.

No ideas? Im also using some Fibaro Plugs, they are much more comfortable to handle through the Home Center, but the devolo seem to have a bigger rf range. So i try to use them in the same network and would like to communicate in the same way with them, but it seems to be impossible to get the devices turn state.

Do the value of "Energy" and/or "Power" change when you turn it on/off?

Maybe you could get the value of on of these variables and use the value as an indicator.
