Disarming alarm

mrtn

Question

Hi all

I am planning on installing a tablet in a wall this weekend.

Ideally I would love to use it to disarm Fibaro alarm when coming back home. I am using ImperiHome Pro where I can define number of scenes to be run.

The tablet is using front facing camera to wake up, so I do not want to lock it with a PIN etc in any way.

My question is - is there any clever way to disarm the alarm by running scenes? I was thinking about defining four scenes and running simple math calculation, such as below:

Scene 1 button - if global variable = 100 then set global variable to 1444

Scene 2 button - square root  of GV (38)

Scene 3 button - divide GV by 2 (19)

Scene 4 button - multiply GV by 3 (57)

Scene 5 (automatic) - if GV = 57 then disarm and set GV to 100

Are there any better ways of doing it?

Cheers

best method is create a disarm scene, pin protect it and thats it.

i have imperihome and everytime i click to run scene a pop up shows with a pin entry screen.

enter pin and alarm disarmed.

simple and effective and similar to using a standard keypad

Instead of scenes would be better to create virtual device, I believe.

I'm working on something similar in my HC2.

    Perfect! Exactly what I needed.

I have made same kind of scene with PIN-protection. It works in Fibaro application (tested with iPhone), ask PIN code etc. But it doesn't work in Imperihome (tested with Phone and Android), it doesn't ask PIN-code (no pop-up screen etc.) and because of that it doesn't run the scene (just say Launching 'scene"). Do you have idea what might be the problem?

    sorry my bad.

you need to enable pin protection on the imperihome app and not the fibaro.

On fibaro do not select 'protect by pin'.

create the shortcut on imperihome in your dashboard view. Then press and hold the icon to bring up the menu.

In either iOS and Android the setting you need is under 'protection settings' and then choose PIN code and enter a PIN code.

every time you touch the scene icon it will ask for the PIN and run the scene.

    hope this helps

  • For some reason I couldn't get it to work on my Imperihome app.

I have created a scene that disarms individual devices, ticked 'Do not allow alarm to stop scene while alarm is running' and whilst it worked when alarm was not triggered, it didn't when one of the sensors was breached.

I then contacted Fibaro support who advised to create:

    1. Scene that disarms required devices which is triggered by a change in global variable (in my case it's from 'Armed' to 'Disarmed')

    2. Create VD with 1 button to change global variable (for example to 'Disarmed')

    3. Create a scene that pushes button on VD.

The above still didn't work when alarm got triggered and I have simply added the above VD directly from Imperihome and push button on there. This is protected by a PIN.

I am guessing my setup differs slightly as my door sensor triggers alarm immediately when main door are open but the alarm doesn't start right away - I have got circa 1 min delay for the siren to sound etc. I've had to do it this way as I also use my iPhone to disarm the alarm based on a wifi check.

I had the same problem and solve it by changing in my setup main door and motion sensor to have 15 second delay before they trigger alarm.
