I want to link my smoke modules so that when there is a fire in the kitchen, the other smoke module directly sends a alarm signal as well. (and vice versa)

Associate them in group 2 group works fine, but the other module does not send an alarm signal when the smoke alarm in the kitchen is active.

is it possible to link the smoke alarms?

It is not possible to associate battery powered units in such a way. This is how zwave protocol works. A battery powered unit doesn't listen to the network to save on power. Only times when they listen is during wakeup and to send information on the network. However such a function would be cool and the guys at fibaro should be able to find a solution for this. Either by breaking the protocol or perhaps a dedicated RF-circut?

I thought so. I agree. This should be possible, maybe by sending extra information (short interval time) when an alarm goes off. Or just maybe by scene (if-then). Just add the smoke module as an sirene.
