Dear Fibaro,

Today I have received my first Swipe. It seems to be working pretty well, but there are some things I'd like to share with you and which I feel are well worth your reconsideration for any future firmware upgrades.

Once I had my Swipe added to my HC2 (4.080) it showed up as a device. When clicking the tool icon to configure it, I was surprized to see the page I was seeing:

This was looking pretty slick, a real dummy interface, so even I would be able to set it up! :)

What this does is creating scenes based on what you click. To my surprize however I could not find any scenes or virtual devices in these lists to choose from though.

It DOES however show scenes which have been generated by this GUI page. This doesn't seem to make alot of sense to me though. This would mean you'd make a scene for a gesture for an actions which you have already made for another gesture.. or am I wrong?

As I do need to include a virtual device I decided to try creating a scene the old fasioned way. I was happy to see that DID work. In my overview though I now have the scenes generated by the new Swipe GUI page (the tiles with the double icons in them; which look pretty nice!) and the scenes I made myself, the old-fasioned way (the last two):

Also, something which I noticed:

When I selected actions for 2 gestures (UP=lights on for 3 devices) and (DOWN=same lights off) the auto generated scenes are all named the same, namely the name of the device you selected in the GUI.

This gets pretty confusing when you later try to make a scene the old fashioned way, as you see all scenes, with double names, resulting in the user not knowing which is which:

I quickly checked and as a user you CAN edit the names of the generated scenes, but it would be more user friendly to give the generated scenes a better name, for example "$gesture - $device" instead of just '$device" to be able to distinct them.

I am going to play around with it some more, but so far this seems to be a really nice addition to my zwave implementation. Great job!

    Additional feedback:

Something worth considering for future prints of your manual:

The including process requires the user to swipe upwards at the end.

It took me several times to get this done right. Maybe it is me, but when you have never worked with the Swipe, you naturally swipe upwards with the palm of your hand pointing upwards.

This way it will not work; you need to have it facing the Swipe. Might be worth mentioning in the manual
