Question

Hi guys

I want to add a qubino PWM thermostat module to my HC2.

3 devices were added (see screenshot)

I cannot change the PWM parameters. I don't find them...

The HC2 is saying that the template for this device is missing. (see pic)

I don't know what to do

I think I'm right when I say that templetes are only there in order to make things easier. They are not required.

Not sure that this applies also to the ability of this device to function as a thermostat, but usually you can set parameters that you learn about in the manual of the device in the advanced tab.

So, if you would like to supress reporting of power consumtion (Parameter 40 in the manual) then you press the button at the bottom of the advanced tab. Enter 40, 1d (one byte digital) and 0 and then save. Sometimes parameters are not saved, but that is Fibaro. Just try again. Eventuelly it will work.

Even though templates aren't usually vital for the operation of a device sometimes a lack of template also means that fibaro have to do some work of implementation to get the device fully functional. And apparently they are slow on implementing newer Qubino devises.

Agreed. I have a different (hysteresis) controller from Qubino, and Fibaro support confirmed that I cannot change the set-point at the moment. Lack of template doesn't always mean trouble: I can use a MultiSensor Gen5, by manually adding parameters. I can also enter parameters for my thermostat, but that doesn't solve the set-point issue. I'm quite sure there is no workaround right now.

Yes, I have a Qubino 1D flush relay where I can use the S1 input but the S2 doesn't really work without a fiddly workaround (S1 affects the master and slave ID whereas S2 in the fibaro implementation only affects the master ID, now try to use S2 for something usefull). I do not understand why fibaro is dragging their feet on implementing all the basic stuff that just should work.
