Suddenly loss of devices and jokes from FIBARO

Question

Posted

This is the last gift from my HC, no changes since more than half an year and suddenly.....

HALF OF MY FIBARO DEVICES LOST!!!!

No trace of them in any area, it seems that this affected mainly rollers and window sensors......

4 months ago the crappy USB on the HC2 died.....so all the configurations and the backups are gone!

I am furious! I have to admit that this system is UNRELIABLE!!!!!!

But what about you Fibaro? When you will start to think about the fact that the reliability is the main aspect that makes difference between a nice toy and a serious domotic device?

No backup online or other way to backup except the RIDICULOUS USB ON THAT CRAPPY USB system you propose!

This topic is full of people complaining this and that spent money to send you back devices even more than once.

In 2016 people is managing money through online systems and you tell us that USB is necessary because of security reasons!

This is a joke, but when you will understand that we are not laughing ?!?!?!?!??!?

I agree, you only start thinking about it after something like this happening. It is crazy especially with an easy access to free services such as dropbox or onedrive.

They don't know how to fix it that is a fact! Not that they don't want to! They cannot reverse what they have done.

I read somewhere here on forum that it is possible to take this 'crappy' USB, connect it to PC and make copy (backup) to PC hard drive. If that is possible, is it also possible to restore that backup from PC to new 'crappy' USB when you get it from Fibaro? I'm curious if this is possible because then I will do just that. Not all people like to share their stuff and use cloud services, and I definitely would never like to send my HC2 configuration to cloud and I believe i don't have to write why?

Yes it's possible to make an exact copy of your "main" USB drive (the one inside the HC2).

Unfortunately discussing the way it's done is not allowed on this forum (it will also void the warranty)

Please do not PM me about this.

/emoticons/default_icon_eek.gif" alt="" /> wow. Is Fibaro really going to void my warranty for copying files from the USB to my PC??? How would they know?
