Fibaro "(daily) energy usage" with Aeotec Home Energy Meter

Recommended Posts

I have installed Aeotec Home Energy Meter, which is measuring energy usage for the whole house. Now, "daily energy usage" panel in Fibaro is messed up, as I have eight Fibaro wall plugs as well, and they interfere with it.

Also Aeon Home Energy Meter has 4 wattage values, "whole house", and then "phase 1 / 2 / 3", and they sum up (incorrectly).

Unchecking  "Show energy consumption measurements" for each wall plug and phase 1/2/3 does not solve the problem, as total energy usage in web interface header is still showing summary of all Wats. And unchecking it will also stop showing energy usage per wall plug in mobile app, which I definitely want to see.

Is there any way to solve this?

Probably some firmware update could introduce a checkbox "include in total energy usage"?

I use the BeNext P1 Smart meter and created a separated room for it. Under consumption only check the room with the energy meter to get the total comsumption.

Hi Rado,

I feel your pain - I have the same Aeotec Meter and it used to work great a few firmware versions ago.

Now its just useless, the data in the meter is permanent and never changes, then clamp 1 (I only have single phase) records correctly but adds it to the random number supposedly from the meter.

Don't see how they could get this so wrong - think i'm going to see if I can do it manually and remove the template usage.

A panel for what makes the total energy usage value up would be great so you could exclude duplicates like wall plugs and in my case - RGBW Modules.

Is there any scene or vd that you can get the total energy consumption. That would be very helpful as the device now does nothing. Thanks!
