Dear Fibaro-Team.

First of all - I like the new forum "spirit" and the increase of feedback from your side! Really hope you at least hold that level up or put even a bit more effort and time into this forum. Guess it is worth it from company policy side and business success for Fibaro.

Where can we post feature requests? It the "crowd's ideas" the right place? Or is that meant for general discussions on new ideas - as a kind of "pre-stage" for single feature requests - kind of Statement of Needs from us customers ( like shouting into the group "hey guys I came around an idea.. lets talk about it" )?

Maybe you should create an own area for single and detailed described feature requests. Description might evolve over time and discussion. Other users are then able to vote or join the creation of a good definition by giving their ideas of use cases for a request.

I put some feature requests already in "crowd's ideas" and that brings me to my next question.

Do you plan any feedback on the requests we all make?

Like

- "proposal accepted" if Fibaro can think about realizing one request

- "rejected" in case the request is not realizable

- "transformed to feature" when Fibaro actually starts to make a development decision on a feature

- "in development"

- "realized in version xx"

Guess it would show us a lot about your plans and whether our ideas match your ideas or not

This is exactly how eg. Zipato team are working to collaborate with their customers. I think it work fairly well.

Of course its hard to understand certain features and then also get a full acceptance by all customers and how it should be solved.

But I like the interaction.

They often get a lot of criticism every time they turn down a requested feature or how it was finally solved.

Of course there would be the usual criticts when "the own request" is rejected or from people who are not that familiar with software development (like using BETA version and then start to complain ... no offense meant to those who did and bring useful feedback - we all know there are others as well.....)  - I think you always have the ones who are unhappy about this or that (me included

Guess we could minimze this critizism by formulating "real" feature requests including use cases - also with the help of Fibaro.

By that we could have a discussion on the what and how and evolve the content of the request until Fibaro can agree - or reject an idea in early stages (hopefully with a short explanation why...)

All in all I think it would help anyone if we could set up such a process and area in this forum.
