Z Wave newbie, need help with Danfoss LC13 thermostat

Question

Posted

Hi All,

Sorry if this is blindingly obvious (I've looked through the instructions and searched the forums here before posting) but I've recently just added a Danfoss LC13 to my Home Center 2 and I'm a little confused about something.

I understand that to preserve battery life, Z Wave devices which use batteries generally have a "wakeup" time, which means they only switch on to communicate with the controller at set intervals.  For the Danfoss TRV, this appears to default to 900s (15mins).

What I don't quite understand is the in the Home Center interface, I'm offered two variables to change - the set point (desired temperature) and another parameter which stipulates a time value between 0 and 2 hours.

What does the time value represent?  Time until the desired setting will be applied?  How long the new setting will be set for?  Neither?

Would appreciate any advice.

Many Thanks
