Then I'm lucky one, my wife does not care about serial numbers, just to get push notification when it matters

Hello,

It is not possible to remove the serial of the gateway from the notifications.

It is not possible to remove the serial of the gateway from the notifications.

Will it be in the future? It'd be cleaner to use the name of the HC.

Hello,

I believe it will not be made removable/editable. Users are allowed to have more than one gateway and the serial in a notification indicates which gateway sent it.

However, allowing users to use a name of their choice for a gateway is a pretty fine idea.

I would love to have HC2/HCL allowing configurable hostname/devicename so that I can set it to match the internal DNS A and PTR records I have given them. And with this, it is a tiny step closer towards having SSL support, or even better, importable CA-issued certs.

I guess I think too far...maybe half a decade too far before we reach there.

So why is Fibaro advertising this on their homepage?? Clearly, the serial is not shown there...

photoshop?

Honestly, when you have HC2 without serian number, you will get push without, there are as well test procedures for fibaro internal use, so they have used them or photoshoped the s/n out.
