Cannot access HC2 anymore after reboot - static IP

Question

Posted

Hi,

I noticed that the time on the HC2 was almost 30 mins off after 102 days online.

So I thought it would be nice to sync it again by rebooting my box.

After the reboot I cannot access it anymore. It is not visible in my router and app is not respondig.

I would like to recover the complete box and perform a hard reset.

I think I might have pushed the recovery button to long, causing the box to switch to Statis IP.

FIbaro finder does not show me the box.

I have found some threads about  this where they state :

Holding recovery button for too long may cause controller to enter static IP mode. In that case one can attach it to computer directly with RJ45 connector, adjust his own network settings (IP in the same pool and default gateway 192.168.81.1) and perform recovery this way.

I have adjusted my ip adress on IPv4 to 192.168.81.2 and the subnet 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.81.1

Still no response in fibaro finder nor response on browsing to 192.168.81.1

Help ....

Hello,

Please, follow these instructions:

  1. Run HC
  2. Hold Recovery button (+) until LED stop blinking
  3. Connect your HC2 directly to PC and set properly IP configuration in your PC

    IP address : 192.168.81.2

    IP Mask : generated automaticly

    Gatate way : 192.168.81.1

    DNS : 192.168.81.1

  4. Then you can connect by web browser under 192.168.81.1 and in LAN settings set DHCP + save.
  5. After that you can reconnect HC2 to router.

    Hello,

I had to change my router so logged via static IP.

Yet can not change to DHCP, as there are no settings
