Question

Hi there - first time to ever post anything via a Forum - so here I go.

Purchased the HC2 and a some motion sensors (and power point sensors to start learning about things) to begin replacing my older security system (my first project). After a few weeks have slowly sorted the problems I have come up against as I learn more. I am keeping everything pretty basic and at this stage no LUA code. Switching things as I wanted (power points and motion sensors). My problem is I have set up a scene to activate the sensors when we leave home (and one when we come home) . This works for admin login but I can not get it to work for the 3 users of the house who own each of the 3 iPhones I want to check the proximity of (and hence turn system on or off). Essentially the 3 people in the house each have iPhones, each have the Fibaro remote access loaded and each can see the app and control those aspects I have given them access to. However, I can only get things to work under the admin user (i.e. turn alarm on if leaving and off when arriving home), not the 3 user accounts I have created for each of us. The remote logins on each iPhone login under their login name.

As I said, all works for admin account - sets security system on when I leave and off when we come home (and scene checks to see if any of the 3 iPhones are home - once all 3 are away it Arms the system). When anyone of the iPhones comes home it disarms it - but only for the admin account. Somehow the 3 iPhones are "registered" to the admin account not the correct user logins (registered is probably wrong word).

I think that's about it - hope you can help. I'm sure its something very simple that I have missed here.

Did you set the users at access control section and set access rights for them?

Thanks for looking at this for me. Yes, have tried these, but for some reason a couple of scenes and devices were not ticked so redid these and double checked to ensure ticked. Also, do I need to have it in Hotel mode and list all rooms as being in Hotel mode?

No, you don't need Hotel mode.

So as I understand all users has their own access and all necessary rights granted. (I mean all devices that user need to access, he has the rights to do it)

The only thing that I can think of, is did you defined all GPS users at scene trigger?

Could you please share the screen shot of the scene?

Hi there again - sorry for delay. I'm still trying to learn how to use this site. Trying to work out how I load my screen shot. I work on a Mac but don't think that will make any difference. I'll look through site docs.

Thanks again for taking the time to help - really appreciate it.

    Cheers,

    Hello,

Click on "More reply options", there you will be able to attach a screen shot. Upload it first and then click "Attach this file". Hit "Add reply"

Hi - I have rewritten the code above in my version. I have used 3 Admin's here as an example. Normally I have the user names of the 3 people who reside in the home. Each has their own login and the Fibaro app loaded on their iPhones.

Not sure if I have explained it well above, but essentially I don't understand how I associate each user to their own iPhone. In the access panel in the main Fibaro app on my computer, all devices with the Fibaro app loaded onto them come up in the Access Control Panel - regardless of who the login credentials are being edited for. I just don't understand how Fibaro associates the user (login) to that Users' iPhone.

My block code could also be incorrect (good chance it is given my limited understanding at this time) - so any ideas here would be helpful.

    Cheers,

I think that this you want can't be done the way you did. If you want to stick to block scenes you need at least two scenes per user, one that will change global variable for user is away and one that will change it to user is at home. And then you make one scene which will be triggered by this global variables and check that all three of you are away and only then arm sensors. Also you will need another scene to check these three global variables and as soon as one is changed to at home to disarm alarm.

Thank you. I have started to think something like this might work myself so will be fun working through it. Really appreciate your feedback on this.
