How to return a list of Dead Node IDs?

Question

Posted

Hi Forumers,

I am attempting to write a scene to pick up dead nodes. However, in the function below, I am stuck at how to get the 'currDeadNodeID' to be a list of dead nodes instead of only one dead node (which happens to be the last dead node found when there is more than 1.

Would appreciate advice on how to go about making it possible to list all dead nodes found.

Do you want a list as a table or string? A list of dead nodes as a string would be something like...

Or could use table.insert() to return a table of dead nodes.

Also changed the for loop to show another way to loop a non-associative table using ipairs()

or could use the new fibaro:getDevicesId() method to get a table of dead ID's

    Thanks seiq.

As this function is not documented at developer portal, I have forgotten about it. Glad to have someone sharing various methods to code.
