Accidently erased z-wave chip

Question

Posted

When I wanted to do a factory reset I accidently deleted the devices from my z-wave chip.

How can I restore them? Cause restoring my backups is resulting in very strange behavior (devices visible on website but not in app, restoring does not do anything, system does not boot).

That indeed did the trick. I'm glad to read that I don't loose my devices when you delete them in the reset.

    I was doing the following:

    1. Do a factory reset

    2. Restore backup

That resulted in a faulty configuration.

When I did the following it did work:

    1. Do a factory reset

    2. Upgrade Hc to the latest version

    3. Restore backup

    Hello,

Can you try to do a full recovery, then upgrade your gateway (if necessary) and restore the latest backup?

    Hello,

Before doing any major changes in your system it is good to create a backup.

I am glad that the issue has been solved!
