Hi,

Today I have received my two Buttons (FGPB-101-3 and FGPB-101-2, or resp. a red and a blue one).

Adding the first one (BLACK) went without any problems. The HC recognizes it directly.

However, adding the RED one doesn't seem to work as it should. Unlike the BLACK one I did not see many parameter settings scrolling while adding. Just ~30sec of nothing and then it suddenly says it is done. When it is done, I see it like this in my HC2:

..While it should look like this I think.. Like the black one:

I have tried excluding and including it from my HC2 2 times, but with the same result.

PS: Maybe it would be a good idea to also include in the manual how to exclude it from a zwave device!

I have no clue how to exactly exclude it, but I just repetively tapped it until it worked. However, it does not seem to be the 6x tap, which is the command to include.

Fibaro, have you tried adding multiple buttons to one HC2? Can you confirm it should work? If not, maybe this specific device is DOA.. Could be.. I don;t know, but would like a confirmation. THanks!

P.S.: v4.090 on my hc2

Hi,

According the manual (available here:

Please login or register to see this link.

Removing  (Exclusion) -  Z-Wave  device  learning  mode,  allowing  to remove the device from existing Z-Wave network.

To remove the device to the Z-Wave network:

1. Place the Button within the direct range of your Z-Wave controller.
2. Set  the  main  controller  in  remove  mode  (see  the  controller’s manual).
3. Click the Button at least six times.
4. Wait for the removing process to end.
5. Successful removing will be confirmed by the Z-Wave controller’s message.

regards

Thank you! I will check the manual again to be sure, but I am pretty sure it didn't mention exclusion..

Either way, eventually I was able to exclude as I mentioned, but it will not include as expected

    I have an additional problem.

I have to try including the button for about 30 times until it worked the first time.

Than additional 20 times to exclude it.

A new inclusion did not work yet. It found the button but HC2 is waiting forever for a response (just got some messages about not receiving data for parameter 1).

I think my button is slightly defect.

    UPDATE:

New day, new round, new chances.

When I tried yesterday I was at a ~4-5mtr distance of the gateway.

I just tried again within ~1-2mtr and now it included perfectly.. So problem solved

I also double checked the manual that came with it and it does not contain any exlude instructions.

However, it does read to visit the website for the full manual. I don't really see the added value for a 'half manual' with the product, but Fibaro probably has reasons to do so, so who am I..

    Hello,

Did the re-inclusion solve the issue?

    Hello,

Are you sure that the device was included properly?

Did the device report that it communicates correctly?

Do you really have to ask these kind of questions?

Why not also make sure they have their HC plugged-in or if there is power in the premises?

I also have problems adding/excluding Buttons and Duwi remotes.  Only 1 Button out of 5 works correctly; 2 could never be added and the remaining 2 were (painfully, after 10th of attempts) included but never worked and couldn't even be excluded (so in the end I just deleted them by clicking the X at the top-right of the screen.

What I'm trying to say is:  If you don't have a solution to someone's problem, just stay out of it.

    Regards,

    Henri
