Lights turn on when not needed and other problems

Question

Posted

Hello,

I have a problem with HC2 and some modules and I can't find a solution to that yet. So any help would be appreciated.

I have 50+ Z-wave modules, 90% Fibaro made, also Home center 2. Everything works fine most of the time.

Now, the problems I have is as follows:

Problem 1

I use 4 RGBW strips, synced with a rule to have same color all the time. Every evening approx 22:15 (sometimes later, sometimes earlier) one of strips goes off (not every day, but nearly every day).

Problem 2

My sprinkler goes on for 2-3 minutes, then turns off (approx at 00:30)

Problem 3

One of my lamps turns on (sometimes at the same time RGBW strip goes off, at least it seems like this)

Problem 4

When I manually turn on light from problem 3, one of my Fibaro Wall plugs restart (Turn off, then on). But I seemed to solve it by going into properties, associacions and then save (BUT, there were no associacions at all)

I have checked properties of all devices, no associacions there (only the one which reports to HC2)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Did you set any associations? I had simmilar problem with RGBW in showroom HCL, where for some reason there was created some phantom association.

Please check all devices, if there are some association made, that are non desired.

Nope, I didn't set any associacions. And I went through them all, none is checked exept reporting to HC2

    conflicting events?

perhaps disable events that can turn them off

Nope. There are no events. Only scene run manually to turn RGBW on or off. But point well taken, I will look deeper into it.

    Try this:

Open RGBW parameters, open association tab, then press "Save" and open association tab again - check the associations. What do you see?

Tried this, both times there were no associations. But after doing this problem was solved, no more incorrect turning on. Another issue started unfortunately, same behavior (Evening, around 22:00). One of my roller shutters opens. I have tried same thing with associations this morning and will report how it behaves in the evening.

Is there any way of checking the log (different from event panel) to check what forces device to turn on or off?

Last time I had this, I tried everything that has been mentioned before on this forum, without any luck. Then I powered down my HC2 and the problem remained... so... clearly the HC2 wasn't causing this. Because I had no abnormal battery drain, there had to be some mains powered module that kept transmitting. Not enough time to find out which one, so I shut down the whole house. The ghost hasn't returned for months now...
