Problems with parameter settings

Question

Posted

Hi,

I am a Newby. Therefore please excuse if this question is a beginner mistake.

Up to now I used for my z-wave device the zway software. Now I upgraded my system with a HC2. During the installation of the HC2 I updated it to the Software version 4.090. Hope it was not a mistake.

The system themselbves runs proper, but I have some problems with the parameter settings. I have 2 remote controls, one a KFOB-C and ane a wall remote switch from POPP. The KFOB-C has no parameter template, the POPP has a template. But with both of the remotes I have the problem that I can't save the settings. What I did:

1st: I set the parameters and then I saved it with the floppy symbol. (see 1.jpg)

2nd: woke up the remote near the HC2.

On the event screen on the top of the HC2 screen I saw that the parameters are updated, but after the wake up of the remotes I got the information that these parameters do not exists. None of the parameters was stored. (see 2.jpg)

Did I made a mistake or is this a bug of the 4.090 version ?

Thats the inforome the event screen:

[13:29:18] ID 122: Set parameter 1, value = 0
[13:29:18] ID 122: Set parameter 2, value = 2
[13:29:18] ID 122: Set parameter 11, value = 2
[13:29:18] ID 122: Set parameter 12, value = 4
[13:29:18] ID 122: Set parameter 13, value = 4
[13:29:18] ID 122: Set parameter 14, value = 4
[13:29:18] ID 122: Set parameter 30, value = 1
[13:29:48] ID 122: No report was received for parameter 1. The device might not have this parameter.
[13:29:49] ID 122: No report was received for parameter 11. The device might not have this parameter.
[13:29:51] ID 122: No report was received for parameter 13. The device might not have this parameter.

But also the parameters 2,12,14 and 30 are not safed

Hello,

Can you share the names and exact models of devices you use?

I could identify the problem. It's the version 4.090 !

    What I did:

    - First a backupof my system

    - Then a downgrade to the 4.035 or 4.031. However.

    - Then I have excluded the modules with the parameter problems and then again included. Now I could set the parameters. It was not easy a some of the parameters escaped from time to time but finally I was successful.
    - Then I have updated to the 4.090 Version again. The mudules stayed configured as expexted.  Happy ..

    - Then I have  recovered my  backup  -->  and now the finally configured modules were not displayed in the modules. They are escaped.  Really unhappy ...

But the modules are included in the z-wave network. What can I do that they are dispayed into the modules.

I have already tested under "Configuration" the "Mesh network reconfiguration", but without success.

Has someone an idea how to solve this problem?

as the version 4.090 do not run well I want to use a lower version. Is the 4.070 really stable?

I have reset my HC2 and now I have the software version 4.031. How can I update now to the version 4.070 or 4.080. In the configuration chapter the update to 4.090 is offered only. And when I restart the HC2 in the management mode I can't chose a file as these buttons are grey, in the moment out of use. How do I get the lower version on my HC2?
