Spinning blue balls

Question

Posted

What is it with these spinning blue balls. Trying to actually make any changes within the web interface of my HC2 on my windows 8 machine is a truly miserable experience, but especially bad today making changes to some virtual devices with the latest beta firmware 4.091. I must spend about 95% of the time watching those xxxxxxx spinning blue balls and periodically pressing F5/reloading the page.

I've tried different browsers, IE, firefox, chrome, opera, is equally miserable in all of them, It's been like this for as long as I can remember,  (I've had the system about a year, it might have been better initially).

Is this just one of Fibaro's special features that we have to live with or is there something we can do about it?

OK, after that rant and a bit of a search on the forum, I saw a suggestion to try a different cable, in my case I'd recently been using a connection over a poweline adapter, so I just pulled the HC2 back down next to the router and plugged it straight into that and it is fine now.
