Block Scenes Help

Question

Posted

Hi Everyone, Thanks in advance for any help with this. Im a tad rusty with creating a block scene. Heres what i have and what i want to achieve.

In an office, We have 4 zones with 5 electrical heat panels in each zone. There are 4 fibaro relays connected to the fuse board to control the panels in each of the 4 zones. In each zone we have a fibaro multi sensor ( we just want to monitor the temperature with these )

What Scenes I want to add

1 - Manual switching of each relay. – Straight forward and done. Manager can open his laptop/phone when on site and see the temperature of each zone and manually tuen relays on/off as required.

2 – Temperature control

  • Front of Shop - If temperature reaches 18 degrees switch Relay Off. If Temperature drops to 4 degrees switch relay on. Thus turning the panels on and off at these set temperature.
  • Office – Same as above
  • Canteen – Same as above
  • Work Shop – Same as above.

3 - Schedule control

At night time / weekends / holidays we need to set for an ambient temp of “x” Whatever the store owner decides the ambient temp should be).
eg, night time after 7pm monday to friday, saturday after 6pm and all day sunday monitor the zones and turn relays on/off to keep temperature at a constant 13 degrees celcius.

Thanks again in advance.

Ian

Got a really quick reply from the team at fibaro uk on this... Im posting the reply here with my own notes for future reference. Thanks.

    1st Scene

Timers, days of the week (select days and set a time for ambient mode to start at) THEN variable 'ambient' = On - Save

The "ambient" variable is the out of office hours. EG Monday to Friday 7pm. IE VARIABLE ON

    2nd

Timers, days of the week (select days and set a time for ambient mode to end at) THEN variable 'ambient' = Off - Save

What we are doing here is setting office hours EG Monday to Friday 7am. IE VARIABLE OFF

    3rd

If temperature sensor <= 4 degrees and 'ambient' = On then relay turn on Save

If ambient is ON i.e. out of office hours, and temp drops to 4 degrees turn relay on.

    4th

If temperature sensor <= (set upper bound of ambient) degrees and 'ambient' = On then relay turn off Save

If ambient is ON i.e. out of office hours, and temp rises to 18 degrees turn relay off.

OUT SIDE OF THESE "ambient" Variables DO the Following.

Temperature control - Front of Shop and other zones.

    Two graphic block scenes required:

1st If temperature sensor <= 4 degrees and 'ambient' = Off then relay turn on - Save

2nd If temperature sensor <=18 degrees and 'ambient' = Off then relay turn off - Save

Is yhis then 6 scenes in total?
I'm looking to have a "keep temp around 23 degrees"

I tried to do if temp <20, turn on, >23 turn off this should keep the temp around desired temp, but its not working, I dont think a scene can run on-off forever, until stoped
