Tell use a little more. What kind of beeps do you get? Is this on USB or batteries? Via app or web interface? What happens: do you get errors, or does the "add" procedure simply time out? Note: I recommend connecting the Swipe to your laptop (for power), then try again.

simple quick guide is:

remove all the easy (no screws or force required) removable parts,

add included micro USB and connect to pernament source of power,

get some hairpin or something that you can use to press the tiny little button on SWIPE's "cube" in back of detection plate,

initiate learning mode on your controller,

press the button thrice.

OR you can try with with the gesture but that has never worked for me (i KNOW that you can have swipe work better when signal goes over say a table 2-5 cm thick wood seems to particullary help because of trick i mentioned above)

LIMITING FACTORS:

SWIPE is compatible since 4.081 i belive so make sure to have installed latest stable release,

Battery powered mode (i dub it the adventurer - you never kno what is going to happen) you need to awaken device before anny gesture command can be red (hold hand by the base of device untill you hear distinctive beeps),

hand too far, fast - you need to have hand really close (i'd say under 5 cm) for it to work and you need to wave your hand at moderate pace, moving it too fast will not get red, and in certain modes you need to move hands really slowly (power saving mode).
