api.put question

Question

Posted (edited)

I want to use api.get/put in a scene to change the parameters of my BeNext dimmer (without template).

reading parameters works, then change e.g. the value of 3rd parameter:

param= api.get("/devices/"..idDev).properties.parameters
if param ~= nil then
  for j= 1, #param do
    print(param[j].value)
  end
  param[3].value= 77
  ???
end

but I don't know how to write the changed parameters:

???   api.put("/devices/"..idDev.."/properties/parameters", param)   ???

anybody knows the right command?

PS: is it necessary to change .lastSetValue and .lastReportedValue, too ?

    Hooray! This really works:

    (I want to change "Dimming Speed" to newValue)

    idDev= dimmer's id
    idDimmSpeed= 7   --  id of parameter "Dimming Speed" by manual

    param= api.get("/devices/"..idDev).properties.parameters

    if param ~= nil then

      for j= 1, #param do
        local p= param[j]
        if p.id == idDimmSpeed then
          paramNrDimmSpeed= j  --  parameter's number in HC2
          break
        end
      end

      p= param[paramNrDimmSpeed]
      p.value= newValue
      p.lastReportedValue= newValue
      p.lastSetValue= newValue

      x= {}
      x.id= idDev
      x.properties= {}
      x.properties.parameters= param

      api.put("/devices/"..idDev, x)

    end

    remaining question: is there any feedback of api.put possible ?
