Heating Panel stops working

Hi,

 

I am running version 4.090 and use the Heating Panel to trigger a Fibaro Relay via the Linked Devices Panel.  The relay turns the Central Heating on.  This set up has been working for 2+ years since I bought Home Centre 2 but all of a sudden has stopped working.  If I restart HC2, it will work for a bit (not sure exact length of time) but then stops working again which usually results in me waking up to a cold house. 

 

So far I have tried:

 

> Deleting the Heating Zone and creating it again

> Deleting the Linked Device and creating it again

> Using the manual temperature setting

 

None of the above have made a different.  A restart is the only thing that solves the problem (for a short period of time).

 

Can anyone suggest what else I can try or if this is a known bug that will be resolved?

same here 4090 with Danfoss thermostat, works at restart but afterwards hangs (do not change the value of the devices)

Yes I'm having the same issue, just upgraded to 4.092 just in case this made a difference, but still does not work. I'm using a Horstmann thermostat and boiler switch, its been fine for over 2 years, but have tried all the above, but no good

Same problem here, it worked fine at the end of the last winter (not sure what version I was in then) but dies after about a day now with 4.090  The event log stops adding new events too.

Same here. Heating panel stops working in 4.090, logging stops working as well after some time. I deleted all linked devices and replaced them with VDs. The heating panel is very primitive anyway.

I'm glad I am not alone but having just woken up again to a cold house, this issue is getting increasingly frustrating!  I've now emailed Fibaro Support and posted on Bugzilla so hopefully they will fix it quickly!  Gromtron, how have you used Virtual Devices to control your heating schedule?  I might need a temporary fix until Fibaro sort the issue out.

Here we go... Quick and dirty... You will have to set some variables (ids, icons) as needed. And please don't blame for possible bugs: As I said, it's just a quick hack.

I've upgraded to 4.1 and still not working.  I'm awaiting a response from Fibaro Support and it's on Bugzilla.

I cound't resist, I did the upgrade to 4,1 and yes, so far it is working, it had switch 3 time the temperatures and correctly reported them in the log.

OT but IMHO relevant for the general discussion: the upgrade went incredibly smooth, the best so far I did.

Have you guys tested it for more than 48 hours?  Mine worked to start with but then stopped after day 2.

could you please explain what you mean with that? what should I try?

I have 4.090 and heating panel never worked. So for the coming winter I have prepared:

- 24 scenes to manage 3 areas in the house with 4 time shifts multiplied by 2 (mon-fri & sat-sun)

- an automatic restart every midnight otherwise the RAM get stuck

 

yes it's a crappy setup but there is no other choice if you want to use in some way what you have paid for and you have already prepared your full house to its control.

As you see I attached a Virtual device to my post. This VD can be imported in every room you would like to heat. After that you have actually to adjust only two ids - one for the switch controlling your heating and one for the temperature sensor.

 

Your solution is probably ok as well. The only disadvantage I can see is that with scenes you don't have the possibility to adjust the temperature using buttons or mobile devices, but probably you don't have to do so often anyway.

 

Notice: The VD attached does not discriminate between mon-fri and sat-sun, but can be easily enhanced to do so.
