Danfoss Valves and Room Sensor - Winter is upon us

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi,

I know this has been discussed before but i don't recall having an answer from Fibaro yet.

So i post it again in hope that someone will look over it:

I have a lot of danfoss radiator valves LC13 and they work just fine. Heating panel is configured and does what it should.

BUT, i also have a lot of Danfoss Room Sensors, one for each heating zone.  They are set as main thermostat in the room, templates are ok and all parameters are there.

What it SHOULD DO :

- heating panel should adjust the LC13 according to the ambient temperature provided by the Room Sensor - works

- when manually choosing a new temperature and interval from the Room Sensor by pressing the buttons on the device, it should update also the LC13's in the same heating zone - does NOT work. Any manual modification of the set temp and time on the Room Sensor does not get passed on to the Valves in the same heating zone.

I have a workaround using some LUA code which transmits the set temp to the valves, but the time interval is not transferred correctly. It only adjusts the set temp of the Room Sensor in the interface. The time interval is also not set - I set on the Room Sensor a time of 3 hours and it goes to the Fibaro HC2 interface as 2 hours for example. I set it to 15 mins, it goes as 2 hours again..

As both these devices are supported for sometime, i'd like to ask someone from the FIbaro team to explain what i should do to make it work correctly - any modification on the Room Sensor to be also sent to the corresponding valves in the same heating zone.

Please let me know if you need any more info.

Excuse me, for a simple minded person.

Which kind of roomsensor you own?

And their is a fibaro template for the hc2 with LC13? I know with Develo Lc13 you can retrieve more information, but either no template.

Any link to your kind of LC13 and  roomsensor would help me very much.

 Thanks for an answer

Your RS HAVE TO communicate with your LC13. It the simplest quest. They are basically made for this. No HC2 is involved. Later you can concern about that. But first of all include LC 13 with your specific RS.

you are wrong - only Danfoss RS can communicate over Danfoss Link CC with Danfoss Living Connect, but we talking about -Z versions, they supposed to work with Z-Wave gateway only - no direct link what so ever -> see

This is absolutely correct.  But sorry the link won't work for me.

Which RS do you use?

Which lc13 do you use?

I'm very interested in those templates or description of parameters. Because I have the same problems. If I change the temperature value outside the HC2 I'm not able to change the time as well.

@ggoetz56  again: with the Danfoss LC13 - Living connect Z 014G0013 - and no room thermostat you will never be able to manually override the time - it will always be those 2 hours if you press the buttons on the LC13. The only way you can change the time also is from the HC2 interface - from 15 minutes up to 6 hours in 15 min increments.

That is why room thermostats exist - and there is only model of Danfoss Room sensor zwave.  That is what this thread is about - the Danfoss Room Sensor

Also, as a general information, both these devices have templates.  A device having template means just that - the HC2 will not tell you it doesn't have a template. Even if you don't like the template..

The Devolo valves which look exactly like the Danfoss LC13 have one more feature - they report the temperature back to HC2, whereas the Danfoss LC13 does not.

And please do some googling or read a bit more before you jump in with CAPS and all that. We are about sharing information and trying to find solutions but I for one do not appreciate my threads being cluttered by wrong information.

Please open a separate thread for your issues.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have reported the issue on your behalf.

However, I have to ask you for screen shots showing your heating panel (zones, times, temperatures, etc) and showing advanced settings of room sensor (we need parameters).

I will add the screen shots to the ticket I opened :)

Good news. Support came back and said that they replicated the issue and it is a bug that will be fixed soon. So all those who have this problem can rest assured that soon the functionality of the danfoss room sensor will be like intended.

So finally it looks like it will be solved. Thank you.

Yup it is solved !!  Fibaro is ignoring me now, no answer in the forum, no answer in the support ticket, nothing.

As to the problem itself, nothing has been done but hey,  who cares right ?!

It is a shame and annoying how FIBARO is handling these issues.

The latest software version 4.110 of the Home Center Lite also does not fix the problem. Still can not overwrite the existing heating schedule.

The manual settings of the RS Sensor are updated and shown in the HCL panel. That is OK. But the settings of each heating thermostat in the same room are unchanged!

i did checked Danfoss RS-Z, and yes, timestamp is not working properly, the values i got are random :(

In my measurement the "timestamp" parameter is the time (Unix time stamp) at which I change the target temperature value on the Danfoss RS.

It seams that no parameter contains the time that we are looking for.

well after the promise that the developers are working on the heating panel and the danfoss RS issue we got nothing more from Fibaro.

It's spring already so why should they bother with this anymore, right ?!

My ticket and the one @T.Konopka opened are still in the same stage: unresolved and unanswered.  But hey, it's only been 6 months...
