Very slow webinterface

Since a couple of weeks, the webinterface of my HC2 is extremely slow.
Login takes about 1 minute, after that switching between pages takes about 30 seconds.

I also use the api: reading information from the HC2 takes about 30 seconds,
but sending a command gets processed instantly.

It runs 4.1 firmware, I’ve restarted the HC2 a couple of times, but no improvement.
I also issued a support request at Fibaro, but pherhaps anyone recognizes this problem (and has a solution)?

Whats the CPU and RAM utilisation like (under Configuration > Diagnostics)? Could be in an infinite loop somewhere and maxing out CPU or a lot of scenes taking all the RAM?

I've managed to do the same to my HUE lights before over the API by having an infinite loop that was taking all its resources and meant light changes were very slow. Maybe something similar here.

    CPU is 0-5%,

Ram: 42% used (6% buffer, 20% used space, 16% cache)

    Disk: 42% used.

So looking at the specs, I would expect a snappy HC2...

By the way: there are no more than 5 scripts active with a loop, and all scenes have only 1 instance

The api is used only if a webpage is called to check the status of my devices, which is about 5 times a day

Agreed, it definitely doesn't look like it should be running slow. With the usual IT response of "restarting it" not working, then I think you are at the mercy of Fibaro Support. Only other things which are unlikely to help, would be to clear your browser cache and check the network speed between you and the HC2, make sure its not something external causing the network to be slow and making pages slow to load.

I forgot to mention: the network speed has been tested and is normal.

let's wait and see what options Fibaro Support can provide...

update: the network speed is ok, but I noticed a 4% packet loss. That's not right, right?

That is not right indeed. Hope you find where is problem, cable, connection or some network device.

You should not get any packet loss on a modern LAN, I would check your connections and router/hub/switch to see where its being lost.

Just got home, tested the same cable without the switch in between and.... voila! Normal speed and no packet loss.

in other words: it was the switch!

    thanks for helping out
