Running a scene when the Alarm is active

Question

Posted

Hi, I'm using a Fibaro Button to quickly set/unset an alarm system, built around the HC2.  All works very nicely: 1 click actives a zoned alarm (downstairs) when going up to bed.  2 clicks to active a whole-house alarm, with suitable delay, to exit the house.  Long press of the Button, deactivates the Alarm.  However, if the Alarm is active, then the long button press on the button fails to run the scene which deactivates the sensors & turns off the siren.  Trying to do it manually via the webpage on HC2 or mobile, brings up the 403-forbidden warning.

I've ticked the box

Do not allow alarm to stop scene while alarm is running

But the scene won't run when the Alarm is Active :-(  I'm sure I've missed something here, so hoping someone will help me, so I can complete my alarm system.

a curiosity, does it mean that if someone enters the house could disable the alarm by simply clicking a button?

I have the same problem after upgrade from 4.092 to 4.100. When fibaro alarm is trigerred function fibaro:startScene(id) dosnt work. I think that is a bug of firmware ver 4.100

I currently have my alarm setup so that I can arm and disarm using a keyfob. This allows the non-technical users (non-smartphone) in my house to arm and disarm the alarm. This works fine if the alarm is not going off. I only have this issue where the alarm is going off but the scene will not disarm the alarm because scene are not allowed to run after the alarm goes off. I have to use the Fibaro software on my smartphone to disarm the alarm.

To answer your question above, yes using one button on my keyfob I can disarm the alarm, which activates the disarm scene. If you want to run the scene from your phone, then you can PIN protect the scene by ticking the box on the scene setup. But obviously for my keyfob solution a PIN would not be possible.

Hi
I use this scene to remove the armering on my motion sensor (fibaro), also to disarm the alarm if it is started.
Only one motion sensor is connected to my alarm system, scenen runs automatically when I disconnect armering on the phone, then we get message on our phones and a lamp lights up red (the house is not secured).
Maybe you can use anything in your setup.

Hi all

I am pretty sure I had a similar problem in the past and contacted support about it who advised to create a virtual device with a button which when pressed runs the 'deactivate alarm scene'. You the either push the VD button directly or have a scene that pushes the button. Don't ask me why it has to be done this way even though the checkbox is ticked...

It does work...
