VD properties (buttons, sliders, labels)

Question

Posted

Is there a resource somewhere the identifies the properties of the VD elements and their possible values? I want to toggle a button on and off in a VD but unable to find the details anywhere.

Should be something like the below I guess....

Please login or register to see this code.

I'm trying to guess it via remote (as I'm at work) but my remote link via home.fibaro.com seems to be very flakey at the moment.

I agree that this should be easier to find. I have found out that by creating a block scene and peeking at the code, you can find out such things. By the way, unfortunately, pressing a button is performed by sending its index, not name.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm guessing buttons in VD can not be toggle either, just equivalent to momentum switch (ie pressing it just sends a signal its been pressed and no state is held to say its "on")?

Right, but you could do that with code (e.g. keep a state variable and toggle it), and show it using a label.

Thats fine in the GUI, but I'm trying to get it to show on/off in homebridge. Somehow it knows when devices are on and off, but not the buttons. Maybe I need a VD per scene, seems a bit excessive but may work...
