Question

As a new member, hi to you all :-)

I am in the process of changing my old conventional alarm system to HC2.

It consist of door/windows sensors, motion sensors, siren and Zipato mini Keypad. Things works fine, arming/disarming works with the RFID.

The only thing that i am unable to do is some bib, bib ... when arming and something similar when disarming just to be sure that i have read the RFID and

components is safe and ready to be armed. Now somebody vill say that look at your mobile, and yes easy but not wife approved :-)

So any ideas how to to this with something (maybe the keypad) or any other simpel device.

I need 3 states

Arming, (you have 30 sec to leave the area)

Arming failed (door or window open)

Disarmed (safe to enter area)

Thanks.

Erik from DK

Hi Erik. I think there are plenty of options but you all need to make them yourself with electronic components.
The best I ever read was on this forum. See:

Because my alarm panel is at the backdoor in the garage (where all electrical components are). I created a more simple solution. I bought a Din-Rail buzzer and connected a fibaro switch to it. See for more information:

The Zipato keypad has functionality to allow the HC2 to "beep" the keypad, for a short (configurable) time after the keypad wakes up (when the user selects home/away and presents and RFID token). However, the way that Fibaro currently have integrated the keypad to the HC2 means this does not work. I hope they one day correct this - as they give us access the the parameters to configure the feature but no access to the feature itself!

For now, I think you would need to write the scene (assuming you use LUA), in such a way that you trigger your siren with a sequence of noises to indicate if the alarm is arming, failed to arm or disarming. I dont know how quickly you can turn on/off your siren to allow this?
