If the question is stupid or is not suitable here please tell me and it is okay,

but i do not know hat to think, i thin that is why i do not use forums, because i never get replied.

Maybe the topic is stupid, but then you could tell me to read this this and this, but as i see the block scene is not so usual, the lua about everybody is talking here.

Hello,

I will answer your doubts :)

Firstly, you have to name your thread properly. You have to give a hint what you are going to post. See, topic "Wondering why I have to..." does not give any hint. It is the same situation with threads named: "Help", "Problem", etc. They do not give any hint for readers.

Secondly, you have to use Search tool. A forum is a kind of "knowledge base" that is expanding every day. You can search for topics that you are interested in, but here,.. we have to get back to point 1, if threads are named "improperly" you will not find what you are looking for. Same with tags, I noticed that only few users use them. I am trying to add tags to posts worth reading, but it is very time-consuming. Nevertheless, search tool should become your new best friend on this forum (and on every other forum as well).

Finally, there are no stupid questions. You can ask anything, but you have to do it in a right way. Your posts should be as factual as they can be, your descriptions and comments should be precise and detailed, but not to the extent that someone loses the track of your question. And of course, screen shots, photographs and so on are very welcome as addition to your posts!

I hope that you will find above-mentioned tips useful :)

You contacted me with a related question via PM. I've sent an answer, but because I got no response, I think you did not yet read my answer. I'll post it here (verbatim). Your question was "where do I start to learn lua":

You can run pure Lua code (not containing the fibaro: stuff) using this open source IDE:

Read:

And:

Then useful stuff at:

And official Fibaro doc at:

Registration is free.

Good luck!
