Question

Hi all, overall I think the Fibaro product is fantastic and does what it says in on the tin and have now made most of my home "Smart". Hue lights, central heating and existing alarm system all integrated. What you can do with this product is truly amazing. I have a major concern though and I have seen it posted before. What happens if it all stops because the homecenter stops. (tears, tantrums, depression.......etc)

After many hours of reading posts in this forum a problem surfaces. People have rebooted the HC2 or had power failure and on start up they have a HC2 that's not operational with 8 lights on. One of the solutions was to get a UPS, which I have done (it serves the HC2 and my router) however when I shut down the HC2 to install the UPS on start up guess what..... yes I got 8 lights and a non responsive HC2 with nothing working in the house. It took me 30 minutes of restart attempts to finally get back up and running. The way I finally succeeded was to boot into recovery then without doing anything restart the HC2 and it came back to life. We had a similar problem when installing on a customers site (many restarts before it switches on).

This issue needs to be resolved asap. I now have my HC2 on UPS and am reluctant to restart the system again.

I am sure this is not an odd issue with a few units. If anyone else has had this problem could you please post so FIBARO know and can resolve. (maybe they are already aware).

HELP PLEASE FIBARO

I have the same issue. Often after a simple reboot I lose most of my devices. I need to restore s backup to get to a working system again.
