Question

My HC2 is exhibiting strange behaviour:

1) The GUI suddenly crashes when working in the GUI and I need to re-login. Happens basically every time I use the HC2 gui.
2) Some scenes are not able to save, the blue wheels spins forever.
3) The GUI is much slower that before, and the problem is browser independent. Caches/history are also cleared without effect.
4) Scenes that are disabled dissappars from the GUI, and are in fact deleted

windows 10? for some reason on insider preview 14955 Edge is crashing every few minutes or simply loging me off from GUI, blue wheels from time to time. With chrome and safari all fine, with Firefox the new "force delete modules" is not working as expected (no confirmation box but simply delete). My advise, clear cache and history and reload pages.

    Hi.

I use Safari, and have also tried a new installation of Chrome, no difference. Cache and history are also cleared with no apparent effect.

    Hello,

Are you connecting locally or remotely?

    Hi

I´m usually connecting locally. I also got a response from Fibaro Support #62372  .

I have cleared cache and history, tried different browsers with a clean install, no effect.

Do you use a DHCP server? And a static IP address for the HC2? Could it be you have two devices with the same IP? To check: open a command prompt on your mac and do a "ping" test, like "ping 192.168.0.51". Do you get < 20 ms each time?

    Hi

I use a DHCP-server, but the auto assignment starts at x.x.1.30. The first 30 are reserved for (manual)static assignments. The ping results are around 2ms.

I use a static address for the HC2, it is x.x.1.5

The crashing GUI is possible to live with, it´s just annoying. But the not-possible-to-save-sceenes-probem is a real pain, and makes in fact the HC2 impossible to work with, even though I could write the scenes in LUA(which I do not want to do for some types of scenes).

    Hello @tnesheim,

What OS do you use? Can you perform a test using a different OS?

After initial tests our engineers did not observe any issues. Dev team is still analyzing your case, but they couldn't reproduce any of reported issues.

So, you are able to save all types of scenes?

I use OSX. I can try Windows.

    Hi

No difference using Win instead of OSX. I still cannot save scenes, and important functions in my HC2 are more or less useless. Please advice.

Not sure if you have been able to resolve this issue, but It think this is related to static IP. As soon as I changed from DHCP to a static IP, I had similar issues. No other configuration changes made yet since this is a new system:

My HC2 has stopped being unstabel, and does not longer crash and restart at the login page. Don't know exactly why, but the controller is fine for now...

Do you have any idea what caused this problem? The GUI on my HC2 crashes every few seconds. I have tried different computers and different web browsers.

The problem exists since the upgrade to firmware version 4.110. My system uses dynamic IP (DHCP).

    Hi

No idea...I had this problem for a period, but it suddenly disappeared and my HC2 stopped craching.... In respect to the IP, remember that both your router and HC2 have settings for dynamic/static IP.

If the problem continues you should send Fibaro an email and ask for direct assistance. It might be defect hardware...

I have sent an email to Fibaro Support a few weeks ago, but they don't respond.
