Hi everyone,

I have SRT321 Secure thermostat and Fibaro 2x1,5kW Relay Switch.

Is it possible to associate it in a way where one thermostat activate 1 channel from relay and other thermostat activates 2nd channel of relay?

Thanks!

Also, is there any multichannel thermostat?

    Lets say, this one:

There are (at the end of the page) 2 endpoints. Does it mean it it multichannel device which can be associated with Fibaro 2x1,5kW relay?

    Hi,

As far as I know, you can only connect associations to one of the relays on the 2x1.5kW switch. At least that is the case where the sender issues ON/OFF commands. Whatever you do, the primary (first) relay will always be the one that acts on the command.

At least that is what I have seen in my two devices, and it's been the same in HC2 and the Zipato zipabox, so I think it has to do with the properties of the switch.

Ok, I figured it out, thanks for help.

Now, lets try to find solution to overcome this problem.

I wrote simple SCENE that says following:

IF temperature set on thermostat is lower than actual temperature, TURN OFF heating.

IF temperature set on thermostat is higher than actual temperature, TURN ON heating.

This works very good when I'm setting temperature setpoint directly on thermostat.

What in case I want to use heating panel? Is there any solution that heating panel acctualy write its defined temperature for part of the day on thermostat and in that case through scene, control heating?

If actual temp. is 20C and thermostat set point is 23C and on heating panel is 19C....system will keep turining On/Off relay (heating) after each wake up....as far as I can see.

    Update...

Fibaro HCL will always actiate relays according to heating panel (relay has to be linked on temperature sensor) and will not listen set point on thermostat. Also, heating panel will not change value on thermostat.

However, if temperature is changed on thermostat physically or in Fibaro user panel, Fibaro HCL will listen this change, but ONLY until end of the cycle. With new update and new cycle, let's say MASTER will become again heating panel. Heating panel must be OFF or temperatures set on NONE if we want control from thermostat or user panel.

This will work for me. I will use heating panel as AUTO mode and through user panel or thermostat directly as MANUAL mode. If I want to use MANUAL mode, AUTO has to be turned off. In that case I can use 2 thermostats on one Fibaro 2x1,5kW relay.

    Any more experiences?
