unable to boot to recovery, unable to connect, help!!

Question

Posted

Hi, first time posting on the forum. I have had a home centre 2 for a while now and have recently had issues where my home centre went offline today and after doing some reading I have been attempting to recover it with no luck!

I have tried booting it while holding the + for a few seconds, boots up and all lights end up lit up

I have tried booting it while holding the + for 10 seconds, boots up and all lights end up lit up

I have connected to both the HDMI and VGA ports, but no video appears.

The link lights on the rj45 port is blinking green only.

Any help will be greatly appreciated! I have tried to research as much as I can but haven't been able to fix it yet!

Regards,

Matt

Remove the Recovery stick and try to start your HC2 without this.

If it succeeds, then you probably have a damaged Recovery Stick.

There is many more posts about this problem.

    Hi,

I have been doing some more reading on the forum, and trying to boot into recovery mode....still no luck!

I noticed on a number of the troubleshooting guides that it mentions not to hold the recovery button in for too long, anyone know why? And could this be the cause of my issue?

It seems so simple online to boot home center into recovery mode, but I have tried every combination, over 50 times and still no luck.

    Matti,

set the hc2 in a network with no internet or router. Hc2-cable-switch-cable and a pc or laptop. No switch: use a cross cable. Set your own pc or laptop to 192.168.81.10 in networck settings.

    network settings.

then go to the adres 192.168.81.1 in your browser and there you must find your Recovery from HC2

first of all reset the HC2, power of and power on with holding second button.mwait long till the blinking is gone and the first two stay on then release and do the above.

    It solved my same problem.
