Hello,

What device do you have exactly in mind by "5 Scene Controller from Fibaro"? You mentioned a completely different device in the title.

Most probably not on this forum because after reading manual for you (you should do that before spending money) it seems to me that this slave scene controller requires master controller from same manufacturer (or other manufacturer but similar one and FIBARO HC is not at all).

I'm not claiming that HC2 can't work with this particular scene controller, but it definitely requires deeper knowledge of Aspire system how it works and what has to be sent to scene controller RFWC5 to program buttons. It seems pretty easy with their controllers table top RFTDCSG or handheld RFHDCSG, but not with FIBARO HC.

So, if you want to stick to this type of controller and FIBARO you will have probably to up sleeves yourself and dig into the problem. Still I can't understand why you buy this scene controller if you already have HC2? HC2 is quite capable controller and it doesn't need help from other controllers especially to make lighting in house smarter.

HC2 + motion & light sensors + dimmer and/or switch modules and scene that will do the controlling is quite powerful tool to make lighting so smart that you don't need any remotes, special switches or whatsoever to control lighting in your house.

Here are links to manuals for Aspire controller which you should read if you want to stick to the RFWC5:

Here is link to FIBARO HC controller manual you may check:

    Hi,

Unless you are willing to help there is no need for the sarcasm. Thnx

According to the latest software updated indicated the systems were compatible. As for why I want a "switch" is because the owner of the house wants to be able to make the lighting work with a phone, iPad,etc plus a switch. The customer is always right, I am just here to accommodate.

    Dear @jm3dina,

I really didn't meant to be sarcastic and I apologize if I offended you in any way because I really wanted to help you. And I did help you by providing exact information about switches of your interest because you FAILED to do that in your first post. You even misspelled type of this switches "RFWDC" and is actually "RFWC5D".

Then I searched the vast land of internet to find FOR YOU even more information about this switches and if there is any even little shred of information if they are compatible with FIBARO control center but I failed to find any of it. Link that you provided in your second post is to Vesternet page where is explained one COMPLETELY DIFFERENT device APNT-42 or by name Aeon Minimote. So do you see any similarity between RFWC5D and APNT-42? No?! Me too.

Since you din't introduce yourself as experienced HA engineer/installer/programmer and failed to provide professional information to get professional help I naturally concluded that you are newbie so I provided some links to User guides for Fibaro and Cooper systems alike so you can become expert one day. Sorry if that offended you so much.

You even failed in your last post to provide more information to WHICH latest software update of WHAT device you found that WHAT systems were compatible so I can check. I still want to help you so here you can find scene controller that is compatible with HC2 at least partly and can be easily made to work:

Please login or register to see this link.

    Here is how to integrate

    Wish you all the best!

Hello. I am also trying to make one of those RFWC5 work with my HC2. I am running firmware version 4.102, which supposedly supports the Aspire 5-button keypad.

I was able to join that device to my Z-Wave network, and it is now visible on my HC2 system. Pretty much the same way as the screenshots shared by jm3dina on this thread.

I associated different devices to each button, but as jm3dina said, none of the buttons from 1 through 5 work,  HOWEVER, I found something very interesting: the "All OFF button" actually does work!  I just have to press and hold it for a couple of seconds until all LEDs blink, and I can see how all the devices that I previously associated with buttons 1-5 will turn off at once.

I know it sounds strange... I don't understand how the ALL OFF button works, but not the others, but I wanted to share my experience in case it sheds some light on what the problem could be. It is obvious to me that the HC2 is indeed somehow programming the RFWC5, although not correctly.

    Thanks

..... and this sounds encouraging :-)

Could I ask where you purchased the device, how much it cost and also how you included it...

I didn't think it was available in europe

    Hi Sankotronic.

Thanks for the link. But unfortunately it didn't help me much. I think the problem relies on the Fibaro template for the RFWC5, because the device is missing the "Scene Activation" property, which is required to assign scenes to each of the buttons.

But I don't know how to modify the device template myself to include that parameter, or if it is even possible.

    Hi,

After many emails to Fibaro support they send me a solution that only works when i was 4.120 software and i make works show RFWDC Aspire Scene Controllers. Now i am trying to add a 3rd one but after the update doesn't works the LUA code, so I waited again to support and they said that will repair for future updates. I received 4 updates and still with out works.

Now when i press a button turns off after a second.
