Configure multiple FDG212

Question

Posted

First post...

HC2, v4.100

I have 17 Fibaro dimmers that I want to configure. First of all I want to configure parameter 5 + 8 equally on all dimmers. Is there any easy way of configuring multiple devices of the same type?

Thanks,

//JRR

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is no such way using UI. But if you know LUA, I believe it is possible to write a scene that will set all these parameters on all devices at once.

Surprised this has not surfaced before. The capability to do this would be quite useful. Please provide LUA code as an example. Fibaro, anyone else?

With the following LUA code you can easily change a parameter of a device.

Please login or register to see this code.

Next create some code that loops through all your devices and execute the code on each FGD-212 you find and you should have it working.

Example (not tested!):

Please login or register to see this code.
