Hundreds of "low battery" e-mails

Question

Posted

Well, the title says it all really. Why do I get hundreds of e-mails just because a device has a low battery. And why does a single device (i.e. Fibaro smoke sensor) send one e-mail per virtual device (smoke sensor and temperature sensor)?

How do I get the HC2 to send only one e-mail per day per device for instance? It drives me crazy when I wake up in the morning and my inbox has 40-50-60 or more identical e-mails about a low battery and if I don't have a replacement battery at home I'll get another hundred e-mails before I'm home again from work to change it.

Anyone? Fibaro?

You can go to the advanced settings for the other slave devices and untick the “Notify when battery low via e-mail”. This will limit your system to only sending the notifications for the slave device you have left ticked to send e-mail of low battery. Unfortunately you will still get multipole e-mails, but it will only be for one device reducing the total number.
