I've recently installed a FGPB-101 Button on a Veraplus controller. Inclusion completed and Device has been added. I've created a scene which works when tested to turn on 2 table lamps. However when ever the Button is depressed, the scene isn't triggered???  I've unpaired the device numerous times and installed again no problem. I added email notification in the scene which appears to indicate the Button isn't activating (getting no notifications)

How do I create a scene where the Button controls the turning off of the lamp?

Any advice most welcome.

Hello,

Does the controller uses Central Scene Activation? You should check the manual of your controller and see if it possible to use all features of The Button.

I have the same problem, but I have a Fibaro Home Center 2. I can add the device (though not in secure mode), it shows up nice and shiny, and I can add reactions to different click counts, but the reactions (scenes) are never triggered when pushing the button. I can wake the button up with a quadruple-click to sync changes to settings, but that's about it.

I have just started playing with The Button.

I have 4.  I was able to add two of them OK.  One of those has a just-about-flat battery - right out of the box.

The other two wont include no matter what I do.

For the ones that work, I have been able to get 1x Press and Hold to activate Rections.  But 2x and 3x press do nothing.  Very frustrating!.

I had two of black ones. One is still working. We use one click to reset Smarter coffee VD and two click to change radio station on Sonos. The other one stopped triggering scene after some time. No matter how many times clicked I was only getting message on web GUI 'Transfer OK'. I try with replacing battery but didn't help. I had to forcibly exclude it and then multiple reseting and inclusion was unsuccessful. Try it with several new good batteries.

I have the same issue.

Battery level = 100%, 5m from HC2.

Just tried it now to confirm, i can have 6-7 "Transfer OK" showing in the web GUI using 1 click (every click brings up a new message) (and the scene doesn't start) and after that a 1 klick action and then the scenes start perfectly.

Using it to control a garbage disposal.

Sometimes though it works flawlessly for a period of time, and then stops working again.

There is no constant factor that I've found.

Its also very sensitive to how you press the button.

Pressing just a little on the "wrong" side of the button doesn't engage the microswitch in the device.

You can hear that when you press the button, the silent "click" is the microswitch.

*Edit Added video of the issue.

I press the button once, every time the text reads "Transfer OK" i give the button 1 keypress, so the transfer gets to the HC2 but something is amiss.

Ive also tried multiple keypresses, i know it understands because of "Transfer OK" isn't displayed until i press ex 4 times so the button doesn't send the command every time i press it.

Same if i hold the button down for a long keypress.

At 0:35 sec in the video a keypress is recognised and the scene "Avfallskvarn ON" is activated directly.

A second 1 press  of the button deactivates the wall plug but i only get "Transfer OK" and so i have to manually turn it off.

@T.Konopka What can be the problem?

*Edit 2. Problem solution.

Ok, so i took the button apart to find out what the problem was.

The issue (in my case) is metal fatigue in the metal "feather" in the top of the button.

After bending that up and bending the small metal piece in the bottom of the button that connects to the "feather" it now works perfect.

So thats why i got a "Transfer failed" in the end of the video.

So the problem is: after some use, the battery gets "disconnected" when releasing the button due to the fact that the "feather" that connects the battery is a victim of metal fatigue.

@Sankotronic

Maybe you have the same problem? We have had the same exact issue, have you tried to bend the "feather" in the top of the button and the small metal piece in the bottom of it?

*I don't recommend anyone doing it as it will place additional stress on the metal "feather" so it will stop working completely after that, in my view, when this happens replace it under warranty and get a new one.

Its possible to try if you have this issue (without bending the feather) by not releasing the button completely when pressing it. Push the button down, not activating the microswitch then push until you hear the switch and don't release the button fully, only just so that you hear the microswitch release and see what happens.

Picture of the "feather"

Notice how its almost "strait" so the battery connection is broken / disconnected when releasing the button resulting in only " Transfer OK" and no actual key press.
