Graphic blocks

Question

Posted

In the process of building a scene with graphic blocks, the look-up tables that emerge one after the other can lead you at the limit of the window (or screen), so you cannot select anymore an option to go further with the construction of the scene.

Can anybody tell me how you solve this problem?

Did you stretch your browser window over complete screen or even maximize it?

Did you try to horizontally scroll if options are going out of browser window?

trackOn windows you can always click on horizontal scroll tab to move web GUI to the left and then continue selecting options from menu which will not close if you don't click inside window but only on horizontal scroll bar. On Apple mac with magic trackpad is even easier ;-)

Hi, thank you for your answer!

Of course I enlarged or maximized  the window but was not enough if you need to select 4 or 5 consecutive look up tables, an you have already previous blocks created towards the end of a row.

Also, on W10 is impossible to drag these look up tables, like on my ipad (and on MAC probabbly). On the other hand on ipad is very difficult to select and advance with the finger on the screen from one table to the other, and at the end, the final selection.

I think on MAC can be done easy with the mouse, and the advantage that you can drag to the left the look up tables.

What do you mean by horizontal scroll bar? The look up tables do not have anything like that! I tryed every way without success to move them to the left!?

    @Eugen

What I meant for Windows 10 browser but also applies to others you can see on picture bellow:

On tablets it is another story because you need to use fingers to first tap on + to add command or device and then scroll window to the right with two fingers what is sometimes interpreted by tablet as one click and it closes look up menu. But then you didn't mention in your first post that you are trying to program HC on your tablet.

Anyway, I don't recommend using tablet to program HC via web GUI because ti is really not suitable for that at least iPad with Safari. I don't know if HC web GUI can be adapted to show differently snd more suitable on mobile devices but as it is now it requires great patience and good nerves to do anything more than just check status.

    Hi again,

I was a little confused in the last phrase of my previous reply!

I understand what yoy mean by orizontal scroll bar. The problem is that when the windows is extended to the maximum orizontal size (either by maximizing or by dragging the laterals), it disappears!

(because the scroll bar is just meant to scroll inside a window when it is not maximized).

So, for the momment it is almost impossible for me to create graphic blocks on W10. When you start from the beggining of a row, it is OK, you have enough space for 4 or 5 tables, but when you have to continue defining from the middle or almost end of a row, you are stucked!!

And you are right, is very difficult to define graphic blocks on ipad, although I managed some!

    Thank you!

I presume that probably, on a 1920/1080 display these problems are less disturbing as you may have more space on the screen to develop the project.

    My screen is 1366/768 pixels!

I think I understand what you are saying ..

If you go through the menu and stay on the menu, the screen should scroll through each menu ( at least it does in firefox ) .. ie devices > hallway >light or whatever the more you go on through the list the more it disappears to the right or bottom .. I get that.

Yes cascading menus can be difficult on a tablet without a mouse or similar as you can't stay over the menu to make it scroll.

You could try zooming out on your screen, or trying a different browser, or grabbing a bluetooth mouse, or trying it on a pc / mac which is where I tweak mine.

Indeed it is even a little difficult on the chromebook, but it is doable.

Oh and welcome to the forums !
