I bought a Fibaro Double switch 2 to try and test it with two lights and control them by domoticz.

I found the following connecting scheme on the internet:

I got one light control switch unit with two switches on it, something like the picture below:

The only problem is when I remove the switch cover I have 3 wires, 1 wire going to lamp1, the second wire going to lamp2 and the third wire is the power wire.

How do I have to connect the fibaro double switch to control both ligths and the switch?
I tried connecting lamp1 to Q1 and lamp2 to Q2 and S1 to light switch 1 and S2 to light switch 2 and the power wire to L and the power input of the light switch, only that didn't worked.

So I'm curious how I need to connect the fibaro double switch?

Can someone help me with it?

Hi @sebasjuh and welcome to FIBARO forum!

Since you have only live wire L (usually brown color) and two wires that are going to light and missing neutral N wire (usually blue color) you cannot use relay switch to control lights because relay switch needs both live (L) and neutral(N) to work as you can see from the above picture that you provided.

So if there is no blue neutral (N) wire anywhere in the switch box then you can either use Dimmer 2 to control this lights because dimmer 2 can work without neutral (but dimmer has only one output so it can only control both lights at the same time), or you can use one of the wires that goes to light to extend neutral wire to the switch, but then you will be left with only one wire to the lights so then single relay switch will be sufficient.

    Hello Sankotronic,

Thank you for your answer so if I understand you correctly I have to connect it on the following way?

    Hi @sebasjuh,

I'm electrician for long time, but I must be a bad one because I really don't understand your schema. :-P

Here is quick drawing with current situation on top and possible solution bellow if it is acceptable for you to turn on both lights simultaneously with one switch and there is no hidden neutral wire or any other wire in the switch box:

Ok but so it won't be possible with the fibaro double switch to use switch1 to control lamp1 and switch2 to control lamp2 with only 3 wires (lamp1 wire, lamp2 wire, power wire)
I don't want to switch both lamps with the same switch at the same time because the lamps are not in the same room.

Well, then you have problem. Relay module need neutral(N) wire to work so check if it is possible to bring this wire to the switch. If your electrical installation is done with tubes and wires that shouldn't be a problem. Other solution is then to use two dimmers 2 because they have only one output so you will need one for each lamp, but then is there enough space in the switch box to place two dimmers?
