Tasker for GPS with Fibaro HC2

Hi All,

I am trying to solve the typical problem: Approaching my house I want the garage to open. As Fibaro GPS fails, I wanted to use tasker. I am well aware of all the threads in the different forums about using the Fibaro http api but opening HTTP (without SSL) from the outside and passing the username/password through an unencrypted channel is an absolute no-go for me - as it should for all in my opinion.

I was trying to figure out, where I can make the Fibaro  Andrid app react on tasker but did not find a solution, yet.

Did somebody else find a way to send an automated command from outside the local network to the HC2 without opening HTTP?

Good point. I never used it for the general app because of the WAF (women's acceptance factor) but here it could actually work out

I solved this through an https server with client certificates and username password protection.

For this I had to open one port in my firewall.

This inside https server does the plain http call to the HC2.
