[SOLVED]HC Lite Hangs all the time

hi

whenever i want to do something with the iPad app, or through the webinterface

the system is unresponsive most of the times, then only option is to unplug the system, and let it reboot

sometimes it will let me restart services from the webinterface

this happens something like 3 to 4 times every day !!!

it started happening after firmware upgrade 4.082, on this version it would be ok (i had it 42 days online)

now if i'm lucky i can get it to be a few hours online

 

i run version 4.105 on the Home Center Lite, i tried to downgrade it to 4.082, but was unsuccessfull doing so

i have 18 devices in the Z-wave network, mostly smart wallplugs

 

i assume this isn't normal, so any clue on what to do to resolve this is welcome

unfortunately it is.

The only possible way to get it working is to create an automatic restart each day.

But if you say that it get stuck 3-4 times a day then you do not have a big chance.

This restart the HCL. You can trigger it with a scene. I use a scene to trigger it every midnight:

 

in the main VD page set your "HCL IP address" and port: "11111"

 

as VD string write:

POST /api/settings/reboot HTTP/1.1
Host: 192.168.1.10 [change with your own IP address]
Authorization: Basic XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX [change with your own administration login]

I'm confused on the Authorization: portion. Lets say my loginID is abcd & password is wxyz.

Software Version:4.100

 

IP Address: 192.168.1.5

Port: 11111

 

POST /api/settings/reboot HTTP/1.1
Host: 192.168.1.5
Authorization: Basic abcd:wxyz

or

Authorization: Basic abcd:d3h5eg==

hi, the whole abcd:wxyz  needs to be coded, not just the password

i ditched my lite and bought a HC2 instead

That's too expensive.

 

Anyway, I believed I got it to work (Thanks to Flowy). I missed out the word, Basic followed by the coded abcd:wxyz

Great, put it in a scene that calls the VD at midnight and you'll have the automatic daily restart.

I have it since weeks and it "works".

One exception was a day when it did not retrieve the time from internet after the restart and so the heating scheduler was messed up.

Hi everybody,

 

I have updated to v4.110 few days ago, and have noticed that every night precisely at 00:00 (I noticed that reading history of my temp devices), it crashes. Obliging me to restart services through web interface when I wake up. 

 

I have no scene triggering at 00:00, and don't understand where this can come from. 

 

Would have an idea ?
