Hello to all new here. 40 years old live in france and a bit stuck.

 Just got a fibaro lite box and i am a bit stuck with what camera to buy, I don't want anything too expensive. 

I was thinking of getting a foscam FI9800P but there are so many, it's to go outside for the garden. 

Can anyone help me with this ?

Hi, I no longer would buy Foscam myself because of some quality constraints. If you put your model outside, all connections to the antenna will oxidize after a while. Strongly limit the distance of the signal.

But it all depends on your requirements offcourse. If you realy would like to use to protect your house, there are plenty of better solutions. Recently I changed my camera to the ones from Vivotek. More expensive, but according to me, much better and very good support.

However, I also still have one more Foscam running. Also in the garden. But it's wired. I strongly recommend to wire your camera's. The video stream from Foscam, in my case the FI9903, is rather good. So, if you choose for foscam, go for the most expensive ones. Another advantage of Foscam is that you can easily send commands from your HCL to the camera. A disadvantage is that Fibaro seems to have some problems showing the image on the dashboard of HC. But that also happens to other kind of camera's. It's very difficult to advise, other people probably tell you a complete other story. You can also check
