iOS Fibaro HomeKit app, config

Question

Posted

Hi,

First post here.

Just got my self two Fibaro motion sensors, set up with the iOS app Fibaro with HomeKit.

Now I'd like to tweak the parameters a bit for the sensitivity, but I can't find out where this is done in the app.

I can see info about the units, but where can I do the adjustments or configurations?

App: "Fibaro for HomeKit Connected Devices", version 1.0.1

Any help is appreciated :-)

Cheers.

    Hi Menlo,

    Thanks for the answer.

You mean Apples own Home app? Yeah, not much to do with devices from that app regarding any tweaking.

I've tried a few other apps for iOS, and one keeper for me is Hesperus.

This one shows me some changeable parameters on my Fibaro motion sensor, and I've also used it to set up the motion sensor to trigger a Hue bulb when motion is detected.

I was hoping for the bulb to 'auto off' in the Action setup, but the developer of Hesperus tells me that's something Apple needs to include in HomeKit.

The result of this setup is not perfect, as 'motion triggers bulb', is not performing consistently at the moment. Sometimes the bulbs turns on when m option is detected, sometimes not.

For information, the sensor is placed in the basement, where I have an Apple TV 4 in the room next door, as well as a wifi extender. The latter is perhaps other relevant, as the Fibaro motion sensor use Bluetooth, not wifi. It's the Apple TV that's the link.

Also, for my setup, I can't move the sensor or the Apple TV to optimize connection any further.

I hope Apple updates HomeKit to get the timer for bulbs; e.g. Turn off after 5 minutes of no detection.

    Cheers
